Coaching in high-pressure environments

The story

I’m Yianna Katsikari — a Mental Performance Coach working with competitive athletes, coaches, and teams. The reason I do this work is straightforward.

I do it because I know what it means to have someone genuinely in your corner. Someone who sees what is actually going on, who does not judge it, and who can help you make sense of it — whether things feel off, whether you are stuck at a ceiling you cannot explain, or whether you are simply ready to go further. That kind of support changes things. Making it available to serious competitors is the work.

I came to sport through people. For over a decade I have worked one-on-one with leaders and teams in environments where performance is not optional and the stakes are real — first in business, now in sport. The thread is the same: how a person performs when it counts, and what gets in the way.

What I bring into the room is curiosity — about who you are under pressure, what drives you, where you lose ground, and how you respond when things get hard. To build that picture honestly I work with a set of validated questionnaires that give us a clear, specific starting point before the coaching begins. Real understanding, not assumptions. Tailored to the individual.

Whether you are an athlete trying to close the gap between what you know you can achieve and how you show up, a coach looking to understand yourself and your people more deeply, or a team ready to build something more deliberate — you deserve a process that takes that seriously. That is the work.
